Lawn mower that will not start:

Your lawn mower will not run without fuel. Similarly, if the fuel is older than 30 days, empty the tank and replenish with fresh fuel

Lawn mower using a lot of fuel:

A common cause of excessive fuel consumption is an incorrectly set fuel air mixture on the carburettor.

Lawn mower hunting, surging, revving up and down:

There can be many reasons why your lawn mower revs can hunt up and down.

- Worn governor spring

- Blocked carburettor

- Ignition break down

- Restricted air flow

- Contaminated fuel

Starter rope jammed, stuck or too hard to pull:

An engaged flywheel brake is often the reason behind this problem. This can be due to a broken, stretched or worn cable.

Another reason could be the blade touching the ground or grass clogging the mower.

Lawn mower overheating:

If your lawnmower is overheating this could be caused by an excessive build-up of grass around the exhaust, cylinder head or crank shaft.

Lawn mower not driving:

A faulty or damaged gearbox may be the reason why your machine is no longer able to self-propel. Another reason could be a damaged or worn drive belt.

Lawn mower not cutting grass:

This is often caused by a blunt blade.  We sharpen the blade as part of our servicing package (if the blade has been damaged, it may be necessary to replace the blade).

If the grass is too long or wet your machine will have to work much harder and may clog up resulting in the lawnmowers failure to cut the grass. The lawn should be mowed during dry conditions.
